Between 2020 and 2023 I trained in Landscape Architecture at the University of Gloucestershire. Developing a particular focus on building sustainable communities, collaboration, co-design and community participation are demonstrated throughout my design work.

My Key Concepts driving the design:
-Individuals living locally, brought together to form strong groups
-Access existing groups. Wealth of knowledge in what is established; build on what is already strong
-Needs addressed in local areas; they feed into the site’s development
-Flow of function into and out of the site emerges
-Site must work hard for local people
-Individuals are the experts on their own lives and communities
-Designer must tease out this knowledge through enabling and facilitating
-Community collaboration, community building, co-creation are helpful terms: ‘consultation’ is not
