Learning and Development, facilitated by artist Tansy Hargan, June 2024.
Tansy is an artist, architect and lecturer in Landscape Architecture at the University of Sheffield, UK.
Facilitated by Tansy, I spent a week with a community of artists in Shropshire, England, exploring ways of seeing and documenting the land. I have been particularly influenced by Tansy's artistic processes that are embedded in a background of Landscape Architecture practice and teaching.
Here is a selection of work showing my own process of recording place, that is growing through my learning and explorations. I am interested in capturing the layers in landscapes, developing graphic representations of new routes through landscapes, and I enjoy limiting colours and tools when recording to enable new combinations and ideas to emerge through the process.
